Hey there! My name is Edvin. I’m 38 years old. I know my name is a little different and out there. My
family nicknamed me Eddie since I was a kid, so I’ve accepted it and it’s been my nickname ever since. I
just go by Eddie usually. Just a run down about myself and my life. I was born and raised in San Jose,
California.
I’m a mother of two daughters, Loralai (14) and Levy (8). We live in Las Vegas just us three. We moved
here in Las Vegas in 2012. Loralai was born in Okinawa, Japan and Levy was born here in Las Vegas. I’m
currently going to school getting my associates degree to become a Veterinary Technician and working
at an animal hospital. I’m always on the go with the girls, their school, my school, work, and always
finding time to be with them. It is just me and my two girls living in Las Vegas. We’re making the most
out of life with what we got, which is more than what I can ask for in life.
In the little spare time I have to myself I like to go snowboarding ( when it’s in season), hiking, tend to my
plants, listen to music, crochet, cooking, learn new recipes, and watch shows or a movie depending on
my mood. I’m currently teaching my youngest daughter (Levy) how to ride her longboard. I got one as
well so we longboard together as one of our ways of bonding time. Loralai has a pair of roller skates and
is still learning how not to fall, but she has so many hobbies on her plate. Loralai is (in my opinion) a
talented anime artist and currently learning how to play the electric guitar. We each have our own
hobbies and have activities we like to do together. I enjoy seeing them find their own interest and watch
them grow into their person. I always encourage the girls to find their path in life and support them every
step of the way. My girls are polar opposites, and it has been a learning experience for me. We all like to
stay busy to keep our minds off all the negativities that come our way but we do find time for relaxation
when we need it. Sometimes I like to go out to different stores to get inspiration on home decor and it
reminds me of what needs fixing around the house lol.
You’re probably wondering how I do it on my own and find time to do this blog. That I will share with you
in detail soon. Single parenting while going to school and working, so far has been quite a journey.
Raising these two on my own has been nothing but a blessing and a learning experience for me. I do get
my fair share(probably more) of downs but I try not to focus on that part. We always manage to get
through it with the help of family and close friends. Even though all of my family is in California, we still
have a great support system. I’m truly grateful to have my girls, family and true friends who have
supported us in our journey of healing, happiness, adventures. My daughters as encouraged me to start
a blog in hopes inspire others with my story and it would be a great way to make friends a different way.
In my blog I hope to share with you my journey through life with my girls. I’ll share with you parenting
lessons, books that inspire me, cooking recipes, our adventures, finances, plant life, and more. I hope my
blog will inspire single parents and all kinds of parenting situations out there, to stay strong and know
you’re not alone. As I share with you my journey through life, I hope to motivate my readers to keep
moving forward and stay strong.
Just Us Girls. We’re stronger together and learning to become independent women.
